Challenge 23 Needs You!

Challenge 23 is shaping up to be an incredible event packed full of excitement and entertainment, all of which takes a team of volunteers to make it happen and keep things moving, ensuring fun, challenge and adventure for all involved!

We’re looking for infrastructure support in the week leading up to the Camp, support over the weekend itself and the two days after (Monday 10th July and Tuesday 11th July).

We also need help to run activities, assemble shelters, help any lost young people (and parents and leaders too), empty bins, assist in the car park, keep the drink stations flowing and lots more things which we can’t list on here!

We’re looking for support for as much time as people can offer; a little or a lot, all help is welcomed. There is a small charge to volunteers which contributes towards the infrastructure (water, electricity etc) and catering for those on the Challenge 23 staff team, of £20.

This is also a great opportunity for older Explorers or Network members working towards their King’s Scout Award, particularly the 5-day residential requirement, to complete it here in Central Yorkshire at Challenge 23. Likewise, we’re happy to receive help from Explorers who aren’t attending with their Unit or as a Young Leader with their section. Please indicate on the form if this is the case.

If you are interested in getting involved with this event, please click on the registration form below so we can gather some basic details and get back in touch with you with more information. Health forms will be generated nearer the event.

Thanks in advance for your support; we couldn’t run Challenge 23 without you!

NB: This is predominantly for adults who are not attending as a Leader with a group or section; if you are coming attached to a group (who, for example, will be feeding you) but would like to also be involved on the central staff team there are boxes to tick on the form to indicate this.
